Winter Driving Tips for Commercial Drivers in Ontario

The Ontario Ministry of Transportation’s winter driving brochures available in English, French, Hindi, Punjabi, Polish, Russian and Urdu languages are educational resources to help commercial drivers prepare for winter driving conditions. They contain helpful information about driving safely in winter conditions, and winter road maintenance practices that drivers should be aware of.

Please make your trip safer by following a few simple tips.

  • Check your vehicle
  • Plan ahead, be prepared
  • Slow down, stay alert and drive according to weather conditions
  • Stay in control
  • Share the road, especially with snowplows
  • Obey Road Closures
