On May 28, 2018, around 6:00 p.m. Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a two vehicle motor vehicle collision on Highway 401 near Victoria Road.

Investigation revealed the driver of a westbound motor vehicle had slowed down and was entering into single lane construction when a tractor trailer failed to slow down and drove into the back of the motor vehicle. The motor vehicle suffered minor damage and had to be towed from the scene. There were no injuries reported.

As a result, the male driver, Navjot Sandhu, 32-years-old from Brampton, Ontario was charged with careless driving, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
