ROAD TODAY, a magazine for the trucking industry, published once a month and distributed FREE of cost, endeavors to be a symbol and embodiment of the established trucking industry in Canada. It aims to sensitize itself to the needs of the trucking community with a special emphasis on new immigrants and ethno-cultural communities from South Asia. It is a well-known fact that these communities have a strong presence in the trucking sector throughout Canada. ROAD TODAY thus fills in the vacuum of a quality trucking magazine for these ethno-cultural communities and has been accepted well by the industry which has recognized it with much merit.
ROAD TODAY was launched in 2004 and has been growing ever since in popularity and demand. It now has moved on to have an annual show (Road Today Truck Show), a bi-annual directory (Road Today Pages) and a radio & TV show (Road Today Show). This powerful and well acclaimed Media House actively participates in truck exhibitions, shows and conferences, and brings attention to the latest news, trends and views affecting the industry. The Editor/Publisher of ‘Road Today’ magazine hosts the award winning radio show ‘Good Morning Today’ to provide the latest information related to trucking industry updates, new rules, regulations and laws, border issues, road safety and traffic campaigns. The hour-long program broadcast on CJMR 1320 AM radio frequency every Sunday at 8.30 a.m is a unique blend of news, music and lively discussions. The program also invites industry professionals and guests to discuss current issues with a focus on trucking and road safety awareness. This show can also be heard online at www.goodmorningtoday.ca. CJMR 1320 based in Oakville is one of the most popular radio stations among the South Asian community living in and around GTA.
