International connections boost fleet intelligence

December 22, 2020

International Truck’s Intelligent Fleet Care – a suite of connected vehicle solutions – will become a standard offering for new on-highway vehicles ordered beginning Dec. 15.

Building on the OnCommand remote diagnostics and International 360 service communications and fleet management platform, Intelligent Fleet Care monitors fleet health, plans preventive maintenance and oil changes, and identifies opportunities to increase fuel efficiency through driver coaching.

A new premium tire pressure management system offers fleets and drivers visibility into tire pressure monitoring systems data, and there are also unlimited programmable engine parameter updates through over-the-air programming.

Navistar’s factory-installed telematics device will also offer access to select third-party fleet management tools, reducing the need for upfront hardware upgrades.

All of the solutions will be standard offerings for five years on new International LT Series, RH Series, and LoneStar models.
