November 25, 2020

The news comes as the supplier and Daimler Trucks North America sign an amended long-term agreement regarding the production.

The OEM began to offer the quick-release aerodynamic wheel covers in 2016, while an updated version with the locking feature came this year.

“Driver acceptance of wheel covers has been excellent because of the patented quick release design, which allows instantaneous removal when necessary for inspection,” says Gordon Virginski, FlowBelow’s executive vice-president of OEM and dealer programs. “Fleets have seen improved fuel efficiency with the wheel covers and they have proven to be extremely durable over the useful life of their equipment.”

Locking versions of the FlowBelow covers have been available for Freightliner Cascadia tractors since earlier this year.
