Manan Gupta, Editor & Publisher of Road Today magazine has been awarded the 2007 Road Safety Excellence Achievement Award in the category of Media Excellence in Road Safety.
The award was presented by Hon. Jim Bradley, Minister of Transportation at an impressive ceremony held on 12th June at the Courtyard by Marriott Downtown Toronto Hotel.
The Road Safety Achievement Awards were established in 1996 by the Ministry of Transportation to recognize the exceptional achievements and commitment to excellence of individuals, community groups and organizations in promoting road safety at the community and provincial level.
As a road safety ambassador, Manan sits on numerous committees including Brampton Road Safety Committee and Safety Drives Us. He was recently appointed to the board of directors of Brampton Safe City and also Chairs a non-profit road safety group called Road Connections Safety Group serving the community since 2005.
Manan has received numerous awards and recognition for promoting road safety initiatives. These include Peel Police Best Ethnic News Award, CN Railway All Aboard Safety Award, Peel Police Best Radio Feature Award, Champions of Road Safety Award to name a few.
Manan Gupta hosts and produces a weekly radio program “Good Morning Today” broadcast every Sunday at 8.30 am on CJMR 1320 AM radio dial. He also appears on other popular radio programs ‘South Asian Pulse’ and ‘Duniya Aaj Tak’ with weekly segments namely ‘Road Pulse’ and ‘Road Aaj Tak’ respectively. |
